Warm meals & smiles for the elderly. A day of giving back for the Flashnet team

We left our offices behind and put on a few aprons to prepare a warm meal for elderly members of the community. Alongside the talented Chef Ionuț Petran, we came together to serve those who may not always have the opportunity to enjoy a home-cooked meal. It was an experience that reminded us how a simple gesture, like a hot meal and a few kind words, can bring a smile to someone’s face and offer a moment of comfort.

For us, it meant giving back to the community & sharing a special moment of human connection. We organized ourselves into small teams, each taking responsibility for a different side of the dinner preparation process. Whether it was cooking, serving or just sharing a smile, everyone contributed from their own comfort zone, working together to create an atmosphere of care, respect and kindness.

But perhaps the most rewarding part of the day was the fulfillment we felt as we saw the joy and gratitude in the eyes of the elderly. A moment of connection and kindness that created lasting memories and brought people together.

We are incredibly proud of our colleagues who made this event possible. The joy they showed in supporting our community reflects the values we hold dear at Flashnet. While we work on advancing street lighting technology for smarter cities, moments like these remind us that it’s the human side of progress that truly matters.
