Flashnet is planting roots for a smarter, greener city
At Flashnet, we believe that building smarter cities also means taking care of the environment that sustains them. That’s why, at the beginning of April, our team took another step in this direction with a CSR initiative dedicated to urban green spaces.
Following the amazing energy and enthusiasm we experienced during last year’s environmental event, we were excited to continue our work this spring by expanding the “Island of Shrubs” project. As part of Flashnet’s ongoing CSR commitment this activity once again brought our team together around a cause we deeply believe in.
In partnership with a local association, who provided both training and equipment, about 20 volunteer colleagues from Flashnet rolled up their sleeves to plant shrubs and other types of plants. The activity took place in an urban area of Brașov, aiming not just to add greenery, but to enhance biodiversity and make a lasting positive impact on the city’s landscape.
The area where we worked is part of a broader plan to introduce more green islands into the urban landscape – places that help clean the air, shelter small wildlife, and make cities more welcoming for people too.
We’re proud to be part of these efforts, alongside the Lucy Group and our local partners. It’s a reminder that progress isn’t just about technology and innovation – sometimes, it’s about getting your hands dirty for a cause that matters.
