Flashnet featured its smart street lighting solution in Frankfurt, at Light+ Building, the largest lighting fair in the world
Light + Building Autumn Edition in Frankfurt is an important meeting place for the lighting sector that brought together 1531 exhibitors from 46 countries. The themes of this year’s edition were focused around solutions that tackle energy efficiency and sustainability – charging management systems for e-mobility, lighting control or home and building automation.
Flashnet’s booth was a real point of interest for visitors who wanted to get a full demonstration of how the inteliLIGHT smart street lighting systems works and test by themselves the functionalities of inteliLIGHT CMS – a state-of-the-art smart city management software. It was no surprise that their attention was grabbed by the flexible inventory that keeps track of all objects and the automations for easily getting thins done. Also, our team showed them how, with just a few clicks, whether it’s a lighting controller, parking sensor or just a lighting pole, unique custom attributes can be defined for any object.
The visitors were also eager to find out more about IoT communication technologies that guarantee carrier-grade security and reliability. Therefore, one of the discussed subjects was cellular connectivity. However, as inteliLIGHT is a communication agnostic solution, visitors were able to see how multiple communications, including cellular networks, were used in Flashnet’s smart street lighting projects (Brussels, Washington, Santiago de Chile, etc). This communication flexibility, together with the freedom of choice when it comes to form factors and software requirements distinguished inteliLIGHT as a complete city-centric solution, ready to adapt to any needs.
Another growing interest was for systems that can be integrated with other smart city software applications and can coexist with other compatible controllers. By leveraging the two most common smart city IoT standards (TALQ and Ucifi), we have confirmed that our open communication and integration vision is perfectly aligning with the current needs of cities.
We were thrilled to take part in the most important event around the concept of sustainable lighting. The fair represented a great opportunity for Flashnet to pick up on current trends and industry developments, network with old and new partners and exchange knowledge.
