The company’s already proven inteliLIGHT® LoRa™ streetlight controller will be available for live demonstrations and detailed enquiries July 19th-21st 2016 in Hilton Munich Park, Germany
Brasov, July 13-th 2016
The LoRa Alliance’s 5th ALL MEMBERS MEETINGS & OPEN HOUSE will be held July 19th-21st 2016 in Hilton Munich Park, Germany. The second such meeting in 2016, the Alliance members will be focusing during the conference on LoRaWAN™ specifications, certification program and standard releases roadmap. The Open House event on the other hand welcomes visitors interested in LoRaWAN™ and available applications.
Flashnet, sponsor member of the Alliance, will be present at the open house event with a fully functional inteliLIGHT® LoRa™ system, available for live demonstrations and testing. The visitors will also have the opportunity to receive the new inteliLIGHT® LoRa™ commercial catalogue, updated with the latest hardware and software system features and will be welcomed to place pilot project orders if they desire to test the system at a location of their choice.
After announcing the introduction of the world’s first LoRaWAN™ streetlight controller in mid-2015, Flashnet® has immediately begun pilot project installations for customers from all over the world. The new possibilities of long range RF communications and LoRaWAN™ interoperability raised a significant interest from smart city and street lighting control integrators, which led to more than 50 pilot projects on four continents in the last year, with a special interest shown by companies in France, Switzerland and Germany. Europe hosts the most implementations to date, but there are also several pilot projects deployed in North America, South America and Asia.
‘The last 12 months proved that LoRaWAN™ is a suitable communications environment for street lighting control and that our inteliLIGHT® LoRa™ controller is a reliable and cost-efficient solution. We are now preparing several large scale deployments that should be functional by the end of 2016’ said Lorand Mozes, CEO Flashnet
About LoRa™ Alliance
The LoRa™ Alliance is an open, non-profit association that has grown to more than 330 members since its inception in March 2015, becoming one of the largest and fastest growing alliances in the technology sector. Its members are closely collaborating and sharing their experience to promote the LoRaWAN™ protocol as the leading open global standard for secure, carrier-grade IoT LPWA connectivity. With the technical flexibility to address multiple IoT applications, both static and mobile, and a certification program to guarantee interoperability, the LoRaWAN™ is already being deployed by major mobile network operators and is anticipated to widely expand in 2016.
About LoRaWAN™
The technology utilized in a LoRaWAN network is designed to connect low-cost, battery-operated sensors over long distances in harsh environments that were previously too challenging or cost prohibitive to connect. With its unique penetration capability, a LoRaWAN gateway deployed on a building or tower can connect to sensors more than 10 miles away or to water meters deployed underground or in basements. The LoRaWAN protocol offers unique and unequaled benefits in terms of bi-directionality, security, mobility and accurate localization that are not addressed by other LPWAN technologies. These benefits will enable the diverse use cases and business models that will enable deployments of large scale LPWAN IoT networks globally.
